Agency Access is used to connect individual ContentKing accounts and is typically used by agencies to collaborate with clients having their own ContentKing account.

Benefits of using Agency Access

With Agency Access you can seamlessly collaborate across different ContentKing accounts.

Access websites

When you've connected your client's account through Agency Access you will find their websites in the navbar and in the Websites screen, allowing you to work with the websites as if they would be in your own account.

Accessing account settings

Within the Account section you can toggle between your own account and the accounts of your connected clients.

Client websites don't take up space in your Page Bundle

Unlike websites in your own account, the websites in connected client accounts don’t take up any space in your Page Bundle.

Agency Access and User Roles

Access across accounts is only in one direction: users on the agency account can access the connected client accounts, but client accounts can't access the agency account.

Access rights

When setting up the Agency Access connection you can select the preferred access level.

Make changes
When selecting the Make changes access rights this mean that:

  • Managers can manage customization (segments, issue ignoring, etc.) and change website settings.
  • Members can manage customization if they have these rights in your agency account, but can never manage website settings.

Read-only
When selecting the Read-only access rights this mean that neither members nor managers can make any changes. Neither role will be able to manage customization (segments, issue ignoring, etc.) or change website settings.

Setting up the connection

The connection can be initiated by both the agency and the client.

Connection request by the agency

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account section
  2. Navigate to the Account Settings tab
  3. Click on the Connect client account button at the bottom of the screen
  4. Select the preferred access rights and enter the email address of a user with manager rights on the client account
  5. Click on the Request access button

The client will now receive an email which they need to accept to establish the connection.

Connection request by the client

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account section
  2. Navigate to the Account Settings tab
  3. Click on the Connect with agency button at the bottom of the screen
  4. Select the preferred access rights and enter the email address of a user with manager rights on the agency account
  5. Click on the Grant access button

The agency will now receive an email which they need to accept to establish the connection.

Revoking access

As an agency you can remove access to the connected client accounts and as a client you can revoke access from the connected agency account.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account section
  2. Navigate to the Account Settings tab
  3. Click on the Remove access (for agencies) or Revoke access (for clients) button
