Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical: what does it mean and how to fix it?
“Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical” indicates that you submitted URLs without a canonical URL, and that Google considers the submitted URLs to be duplicate. Therefore, Google's chosen other URLs as the canonical.
Please note that this status is highly similar to the Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user status, the only differences being that you explicitly requested these URLs be indexed by Google, and that you didn't include a canonical URL.

How to fix “Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical”
- Go to
Coverage>Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonicaland use the URL Inspection tool to find out which URL was chosen by Google as the canonical instead. - Verify if Google has rightfully chosen a different canonical.
- If they have, add a canonical link from the URL in question to the URL picked by Google.
- If you don't agree with Google and you think that your URL should be indexed instead: add a self-referencing canonical URL, add unique content to the page and add more internal links to the page.
